Here is the schedule that we will be working with in regards to the OGSHL Entry Draft and the OGSHL Free Agent Draft.
NHL Entry Draft Date(real life): Friday, June 26th-Saturday, June 27th
OGSHL Entry Draft: Saturday, June 27th - Thursday July 16th
- Clocks will start at 9AM EST and run until 12AM EST daily, for 20 days total. (There will be no running clock for July 1st and July 4th due to the Canadian and American holidays)
- The Draft will be three hour clocks, making that 5 picks per day
- The Entry Draft is three rounds
- Clocks will run as follows. 1. 9AM-12PM 2. 12pm-3PM 3. 3PM-6PM 4. 6PM-9PM 5. 9PM-12AM and will then follow the same time frame for the next 5 picks etc.
- If you are unsure you can make a pick that day make sure to leave a list with either myself or Dallas Stars
- Keep in mind you do not have to wait until your designated timeslot to make your selection if it is your pick and you already know who you want to draft.
OGSHL Free Agency Draft:Monday July 20th - Sunday August 2nd
- Clocks will start at 9AM EST and run until 12AM EST daily, for 14 days
- The Draft will be one hour clocks, making that 15 picks per day
- The Free Agent Draft is 7 rounds
- Owners have the option to PASS on picks at any time they want in the draft. (For example if you are already at 45 players and there is nobody you want in the draft, you can pass on all remaining picks)
- This will include all prospects who were picked in rounds 4-7 in the real NHL entry draft that were not selected in the OGSHL Entry Draft
- The Order is based on the reverse order of standings (Florida has the 1st pick in the Free Agent Draft)
- All team buyouts must be either posted or sent in a PM to either Dallas Stars or Myself by July 18th at 11:59 PM
We decided to have the Entry Draft start 1 day after the real NHL Entry draft because we will already know who has been picked. As a reminder, nobody will be on the clock on July 1st and July 4th due to Canada Day and 4th of July
There will be a Free Agent Draft Doc that will be posted on the website for everyone to refer to when drafting in the Free Agent Draft.
There will also be a direct link to the real NHL Entry Draft order that will show which players were picked in each round.
As usual, if there are any questions or concerns feel free to post below.
