Bar Down is a keeper simulation league that is ran by the same Commissioners that run the OGSHL Dallas Stars and Florida Panthers. With our recent sponsorship from HockeyForums.net we are able to create a 2nd sim league that will be KEEPER based and will be NON-Salary based, which is a whole different entity from OGSHL. We are inviting our members that are passionate here as we have a great community established here. We will also be gaining new members from other sim league websites and from HockeyForums.

Since this league will be a keeper league, there will be some unique aspects. Please read the rulebook when you visit the website in order to fully understand the league rules making sure you understand how it works before joining. Here are a few unique aspects to the Bar Down Simulation League. You will see many similarities between both OGSHL and Bar-Down in terms of drafting and the way that the site is set up and how it operates.
45 round draft with a limit of 15 prospects only for the inaugural draft. After the draft is over teams can have over 15 prospects via trades and free agency.
Each team will have a 30 minute window going from 9am EST to Midnight EST, this ensures every team gets to pick at least once per day.
At the end of the season there will be a Relegation Draft. The Relegation Draft is a unique aspect to keeper leagues as teams will have to decide what players they will drop, and the amount of players needed to be dropped will be based off the league standings. Teams who finish 1st-10th place will need to expose 9 players, teams who finish 11th-20th will expose 7, and teams who finish 21st-30th will expose 5 players.
In addition to the Relegation Draft there will be a 3 round Entry Draft which will have the full NHL lottery chances.
Forwards can play any position, just need a position change request submitted.
There will be both full NHL and AHL rosters as prospects are given a 53 overall rating.
There is a draft doc already available for you to use at your discretion that lists almost all the NHL players and the majority of prospects.
We are looking to start Bar Down by the first week of February.
