Overall this has been a very busy off season for Kings GM Jason Deblois. Since taking over the team from their previous GM he has completely overhauled his team while only keeping a core group of players. If this team was a medical patient, and the trades/acquisitions were procedures, this team has gone through a facelift, liposuction, and a couple of plastic surgery operations. Jason has by far been the most active GM in the last month having made a total of 7 trades.
This was the initial lineup when Jason took over the team on August 19th, 2015:
Stamkos - Fisher - Tanguay
Briere - Monahan - Lucic
Glencross - Backlund - Brunner
Byron - Sheppard - Klinkhammer
Phaneuf - Regehr
Vlasic - Lovejoy
Schultz - Hunwick
Mason
Berra
Since then these have been the moves:
Out: In: In and Out:
Backlund Horqvist Soderberg
Dal Colle (P) Klein
Janmark (P) Greene
Zborovsky (P) Nash, Riley
Jankowski (P) Hudler
Tanguay Chara
Monahan MacArthur
Briere Zacha (P)
Regehr Eriksson
Lucic Ritchie
Poirier (P) Shore (P)
Sieloff (P) Fountaine
Glencross Czarnik (P)
2nd round pick 3rd round pick
Also acquired through the waiver wire as well as Free Agency are:
Balisy (P)
Allen, C (P)
With all of those moves and additions, here is the projected lineup for the first game of the season:
Hudler - Stamkos - Horqvist
MacArthur - Fisher - Eriksson
Fountaine - Nash - Ritchie
Byron - Sheppard - Klinkhammer
Chara - Phaneuf
Vlasic - Klein
Lovejoy - Greene
Mason
Berra
In the grand scheme of things, the Kings shipped out a lot of good prospects, have received a couple of good prospects back, but mostlly got a ton of skilled players for their main roster in all of these moves.
Expect to see LA close to the top of the standings and working for one of those hard Western Conference playoff spots
